Narrative:

Taxiing in to gate with 3 ground people in position, taxied in and parked. Chocks in, parking checklist done. At that point, a non revenue ramp person came to flight deck and advised that we hit a belt loader with the #1 engine. I called maintenance and went downstairs to see damage. Belt loader was moved away from aircraft, parked and chocked. Nobody knows who moved belt loader. I looked at damage, advised ramp supervisor, called operations, made logbook entry. When incident command center made statement, called union safety director and went home.
