Narrative:

This passenger was boarded by an agent. Shortly after takeoff the passenger was wandering around coach class during the meal service. Shortly after the passenger turned on the emergency light system, I went to the cockpit to see if they knew why the lights were on. They did not know. I called to the back of the aircraft and flight attendants were trying to get the passenger seated. He then began to vomit all over seats and the aisle. I went to the back and observed, reported it to the cockpit, then paged for an md or do -- 2 responded. I retrieved the medical kit, first aid kit, and oxygen. The md's suggested landing and removing the passenger. 50 mins later, we landed in sju. Paramedics removed the passenger, we refueled and continued to gig. I believe had we had an extra flight attendant in coach, the situation of turning on the emergency lights could have been avoided. This was a staffing change that the company succeeded in getting in our last contract.
