Narrative:
We were flying to pick up a flight school aircraft, WX was closing in on us en route. It got to a point where we couldn't go further. We picked a hole to descend through and located a small airport to land, mexia-limestone, tx. Just east of waco, tx, we filed IFR to depart. On climb out, a supervisor came on frequency asking us to confirm our location, which I did. He told us that we filed from the wrong airport. We actually left an airport called morlin, which is just southwest of the airport I had thought we landed at. During the maneuvering, we got a little disoriented, but the airport we landed at had no identify or any information to tell us exactly what airport it was. I assume it was the airport that we were near before going below the ceiling, which we descended through VFR. I believe if there was some kind of airport identify the incident wouldn't have occurred. Only thing on the field was a pay phone. I probably didn't explain things well enough to this supervisor (waco approach).
