Narrative:

While climbing to assigned altitude of 6000 ft on an assigned heading a king air with military markings passed above between 200-500 ft. We were at 5800 ft climbing. The king air was probably at 6000 ft. Very close, even in IMC all markings on the king air were readable. No traffic call was made by ATC. Later communications with ATC raised concern that controller did not remember us or did not see us on his scope. He cleared another aircraft at our altitude to intercept mrb 101 degree radial. We then asked if we should intercept because we were coming up on this radial and were told to continue on heading.

Title: RPTED NEAR MISS BY PLT OF CPR SMA WITH A BE90 WITH MIL MARKINGS DURING CLB THROUGH 5800 FT. NO TFC ISSUED.

Narrative: WHILE CLBING TO ASSIGNED ALT OF 6000 FT ON AN ASSIGNED HEADING A KING AIR WITH MIL MARKINGS PASSED ABOVE BTWN 200-500 FT. WE WERE AT 5800 FT CLBING. THE KING AIR WAS PROBABLY AT 6000 FT. VERY CLOSE, EVEN IN IMC ALL MARKINGS ON THE KING AIR WERE READABLE. NO TFC CALL WAS MADE BY ATC. LATER COMS WITH ATC RAISED CONCERN THAT CTLR DID NOT REMEMBER US OR DID NOT SEE US ON HIS SCOPE. HE CLRED ANOTHER ACFT AT OUR ALT TO INTERCEPT MRB 101 DEG RADIAL. WE THEN ASKED IF WE SHOULD INTERCEPT BECAUSE WE WERE COMING UP ON THIS RADIAL AND WERE TOLD TO CONTINUE ON HEADING.
