Narrative:

The aircraft weight and balance was improperly computed by company operations (due to being given an improper count from the gate agent). This was then transmitted via ACARS to the pilots very close to taking the runway for takeoff. Unfortunately due to our haste to get everything done we missed the error and used the improper numbers for takeoff. Aircraft had no adverse handling characteristics on takeoff. The solution from my end is a more disciplined approach toward verifying and double checking to make sure the correct information has been used for the weight and balance computation and to not allow such an occurrence to rush me at the last min.

Title: FLC OF A B757-200 FAILED TO NOTICE THE WRONG NUMBER OF PAX USED IN THE WT AND BAL FIGURES GIVEN BY THE GATE AGENT PRIOR TO TKOF CAUSING THE WRONG COMPUTATIONS USED FOR TKOF DATA. ERROR WAS NOT SIGNIFICANT TO CAUSE ABNORMAL ACFT CTL.
