Narrative:

On final approach after selecting gear down, unable to get green 'down and locked' nose gear light. After required checklists, we verified nose gear 'down' through port hole in first officer's floor board. Did not declare emergency, however, asked for emergency equipment standing by for precaution. Landed without a problem. Later, found out it was a bad nose gear switch on the nose gear assembly.
