Narrative:
Approach cleared us to descend to 11000 ft on the arrival. Approaching 12000 ft they requested we level at 12000 ft. I reset the autoplt altitude window and it overshot 200 ft low (11800 ft). I disengaged the autoplt and manually leveled off. Then dfw said there was traffic below at 11000 ft, but it was ok because he had us in sight. I remember thinking it would be nice if he'd told us. Lesson: pay closer attention to the TCASII. Dfw approach still stinks.

Title: AUTOPLT OVERSHOT ALT IN DSCNT.
Narrative: APCH CLRED US TO DSND TO 11000 FT ON THE ARR. APCHING 12000 FT THEY REQUESTED WE LEVEL AT 12000 FT. I RESET THE AUTOPLT ALT WINDOW AND IT OVERSHOT 200 FT LOW (11800 FT). I DISENGAGED THE AUTOPLT AND MANUALLY LEVELED OFF. THEN DFW SAID THERE WAS TFC BELOW AT 11000 FT, BUT IT WAS OK BECAUSE HE HAD US IN SIGHT. I REMEMBER THINKING IT WOULD BE NICE IF HE'D TOLD US. LESSON: PAY CLOSER ATTN TO THE TCASII. DFW APCH STILL STINKS.
