Narrative:

While flying the last segment of the scy 7 STAR at 11000 ft, the runway was changed from runway 17C to runway 18R. We were turned in for a tight base to runway 18R while still very high and fast. Captain judged the approach could be made safely, but would require some attention. Captain was flying and focused on getting the aircraft in the slot by 1000 ft. First officer was new on the aircraft and still trying to put the runway in the FMC on short final. Captain did not notice this. On landing rollout, we discovered we were still on approach frequency. Tower had cleared us to land, but this was not known until after the fact.
