Narrative:

After landing on runway 23 at buf, we turned off onto taxiway F. At approximately halfway between the runway and taxiway a, due to a combination of unrpted ice on the taxiway, with resulting braking and traction action of nil and winds reported at 260 degrees, 34 KTS, gusting to 48 KTS, we weathervaned toward the wind and stopped on the right side of the taxiway with the nosewheels approximately 2 ft on the frozen tundra. We requested a tow out and in to the gate. Subsequent inspection revealed no damage. Our appended flight plan information had taxiway mostly patchy thin slush, patchy bare spots as taxiway conditions. Buf had no ATIS advisories and no tower advisories on taxiway or ramp conditions. In operations airport fire fighters told us they lost control of their truck while responding to an earlier emergency. They attributed it to icy ramp conditions and high winds. Timely and accurate tower advisories would certainly be of help.

Title: TURNING OFF RWY 23 AT EXIT TXWY F THE FOKKER 100 WEATHERVANED AND SLID OFF THE TXWY. THE RPTR HAD THE ACFT TOWED TO THE GATE WITH NO DAMAGE OCCURRING DURING THE INCIDENT. THE TWR DID NOT CONVEY POTENTIAL HAZARDOUS TAXI CONDITIONS TO ARRIVING ACFT.

Narrative: AFTER LNDG ON RWY 23 AT BUF, WE TURNED OFF ONTO TXWY F. AT APPROX HALFWAY BTWN THE RWY AND TXWY A, DUE TO A COMBINATION OF UNRPTED ICE ON THE TXWY, WITH RESULTING BRAKING AND TRACTION ACTION OF NIL AND WINDS RPTED AT 260 DEGS, 34 KTS, GUSTING TO 48 KTS, WE WEATHERVANED TOWARD THE WIND AND STOPPED ON THE R SIDE OF THE TXWY WITH THE NOSEWHEELS APPROX 2 FT ON THE FROZEN TUNDRA. WE REQUESTED A TOW OUT AND IN TO THE GATE. SUBSEQUENT INSPECTION REVEALED NO DAMAGE. OUR APPENDED FLT PLAN INFO HAD TXWY MOSTLY PATCHY THIN SLUSH, PATCHY BARE SPOTS AS TXWY CONDITIONS. BUF HAD NO ATIS ADVISORIES AND NO TWR ADVISORIES ON TXWY OR RAMP CONDITIONS. IN OPS ARPT FIRE FIGHTERS TOLD US THEY LOST CTL OF THEIR TRUCK WHILE RESPONDING TO AN EARLIER EMER. THEY ATTRIBUTED IT TO ICY RAMP CONDITIONS AND HIGH WINDS. TIMELY AND ACCURATE TWR ADVISORIES WOULD CERTAINLY BE OF HELP.
