Autoplt failed to capture level off altitude on descent. Deviated 300 ft. Returned to altitude with no further problems. High terminal workload all 3 crew missed deviation until picked up by captain.

Title: THE FLC OF A WDB CARGO ACFT DSNDED BELOW THE ASSIGNED ALT WHILE ON VECTORS TO THE FINAL APCH FIX. THE CAPT (PF) DISCOVERED THE DEV AND RETURNED TO THE ASSIGNED ALT.
Narrative: AUTOPLT FAILED TO CAPTURE LEVEL OFF ALT ON DSCNT. DEVIATED 300 FT. RETURNED TO ALT WITH NO FURTHER PROBS. HIGH TERMINAL WORKLOAD ALL 3 CREW MISSED DEV UNTIL PICKED UP BY CAPT.
