Narrative:

A large deer struck the nose gear at lift-off on a night flight from sjx, damaging the nosewheel and creating an unsafe indication. After determining that the aircraft was safe for flight, the flight was continued to the destination, lex, in order to burn off fuel, where an emergency landing was made. There were no injuries and the aircraft received very minor propeller damage during landing.

Title: DEER STRIKE DURING TKOF.

Narrative: A LARGE DEER STRUCK THE NOSE GEAR AT LIFT-OFF ON A NIGHT FLT FROM SJX, DAMAGING THE NOSEWHEEL AND CREATING AN UNSAFE INDICATION. AFTER DETERMINING THAT THE ACFT WAS SAFE FOR FLT, THE FLT WAS CONTINUED TO THE DEST, LEX, IN ORDER TO BURN OFF FUEL, WHERE AN EMER LNDG WAS MADE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND THE ACFT RECEIVED VERY MINOR PROP DAMAGE DURING LNDG.
