Narrative:

Departed flying cloud. Hot, brutal turbulent day caused unpleasant climb out. Departed on fcm tower frequency and did not bother to talk to departure. Fcm is 12 DME and outside ring of class B is 20 DME, 4000 ft to 8000 ft. As hot as it was, I didn't consider passing 4000 ft in 8 mi to be an issue. We had a greater than expected headwind and I was amazed to notice that we were only 22 DME passing 4900 ft. There is a pretty good chance I clipped a few hundred ft of the class B airspace. Assume I climbed 4000 ft in 10 mi for 400 ft per mi. I would have passed 20 DME at 4100 ft. Probably not by much, but the point is I didn't remember to level off at 3900 ft until passing the outer veil. I was burning up in the heat and was getting tossed around badly. Altitude, (I'm sure) seemed like the fix to both problems, so I was climbing at a sharper rate than normal and distracted by the discomfort caused by the hostile cabin conditions.

Title: INADVERTENT PENETRATION OF CLASS B AIRSPACE.

Narrative: DEPARTED FLYING CLOUD. HOT, BRUTAL TURBULENT DAY CAUSED UNPLEASANT CLBOUT. DEPARTED ON FCM TWR FREQ AND DID NOT BOTHER TO TALK TO DEP. ASSUME I CLBED 4000 FT IN 10 MI FOR 400 FT PER MI. ALT, (I'M SURE) SEEMED LIKE THE FIX TO BOTH PROBS, SO I WAS CLBING AT A SHARPER RATE THAN NORMAL AND DISTRACTED BY THE DISCOMFORT CAUSED BY THE HOSTILE CABIN CONDITIONS.
