Narrative:

Descending through 10000 ft for lit, I saw a flash ahead in the landing lights, followed immediately by a loud 'bang.' object hit the nose below my window. No changes noticed in engine or pressurization instruments, aircraft seemed fine. Reported the strike to the approach controller. Later on the ground, inspection of the area showed no damage except chipped paint, a large 'splat' area under first officer's window, and lots of feather and flesh pieces.
