Narrative:
On feb/fri/95, I received a call from airport terminal maintenance. Aircraft inbound was experiencing problems with captain's side, mach indicator. Problem: captain's mach and vmo flags show intermittent, in flight. Placarded under MEL number and control number. The problem was placarded under wrong MEL, should have been another MEL number, which was a legal placard.

Narrative: ON FEB/FRI/95, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM ARPT TERMINAL MAINT. ACFT INBOUND WAS EXPERIENCING PROBS WITH CAPT'S SIDE, MACH INDICATOR. PROB: CAPT'S MACH AND VMO FLAGS SHOW INTERMITTENT, IN FLT. PLACARDED UNDER MEL NUMBER AND CTL NUMBER. THE PROB WAS PLACARDED UNDER WRONG MEL, SHOULD HAVE BEEN ANOTHER MEL NUMBER, WHICH WAS A LEGAL PLACARD.
