Narrative:

During descent into mci in order to comply with an ATC crossing restr over pne the first officer (flying) activated the flight spoilers and immediately encountered an uncommanded roll to the right. The roll was ctlable with control wheel force to the left and the tendency was eliminated by placing the spoilers back to the down position. A normal approach and landing was made to mci runway 01L with a left crosswind until the spoilers were raised during rollout. The aircraft was grounded and mechanics re-rigged the aileron input into the spoiler mixer. The following morning the aircraft was scheduled for us to fly on another revenue flight to atl. After a thorough functional flight controls check on the ground, the scheduled flight was conducted. All was normal until on downwind leg, I raised the spoilers and this time the aircraft rolled to the right. The condition was again written up and apparently corrected by a similar rerigging of aileron input to the spoiler mixer. The aircraft was being hand flown each time the incidents occurred. I am concerned that, had the autoplt been engaged, a more rapid roll might have occurred.

Title: LGT INVOLUNTARY ROLLS WHEN THE SPOILERS ARE USED.

Narrative: DURING DSCNT INTO MCI IN ORDER TO COMPLY WITH AN ATC XING RESTR OVER PNE THE FO (FLYING) ACTIVATED THE FLT SPOILERS AND IMMEDIATELY ENCOUNTERED AN UNCOMMANDED ROLL TO THE R. THE ROLL WAS CTLABLE WITH CTL WHEEL FORCE TO THE L AND THE TENDENCY WAS ELIMINATED BY PLACING THE SPOILERS BACK TO THE DOWN POS. A NORMAL APCH AND LNDG WAS MADE TO MCI RWY 01L WITH A L XWIND UNTIL THE SPOILERS WERE RAISED DURING ROLLOUT. THE ACFT WAS GNDED AND MECHS RE-RIGGED THE AILERON INPUT INTO THE SPOILER MIXER. THE FOLLOWING MORNING THE ACFT WAS SCHEDULED FOR US TO FLY ON ANOTHER REVENUE FLT TO ATL. AFTER A THOROUGH FUNCTIONAL FLT CTLS CHK ON THE GND, THE SCHEDULED FLT WAS CONDUCTED. ALL WAS NORMAL UNTIL ON DOWNWIND LEG, I RAISED THE SPOILERS AND THIS TIME THE ACFT ROLLED TO THE R. THE CONDITION WAS AGAIN WRITTEN UP AND APPARENTLY CORRECTED BY A SIMILAR RERIGGING OF AILERON INPUT TO THE SPOILER MIXER. THE ACFT WAS BEING HAND FLOWN EACH TIME THE INCIDENTS OCCURRED. I AM CONCERNED THAT, HAD THE AUTOPLT BEEN ENGAGED, A MORE RAPID ROLL MIGHT HAVE OCCURRED.
