Narrative:

Landing at tul with runway 18L/36R closed. Runway 26 was the active at the time with winds reported to be 150/12. We looked up 18R in our airport analysis and found that our landing weight was well below the maximum landing weight for that runway. We requested 18R, with a slight crosswind, rather than 26 with a crosswind and a tailwind. Landing was normal. In operations, we looked again at our air carrier airport pages and found that 18R was not to be used for takeoff or landing. Another aircraft reported some wind shear on takeoff from runway 26. Oversight is the key word and all available aids should be used when conditions are not normal.
