Narrative:

FBO maintenance was being performed under the supervision of air carrier a line maintenance for an engine starting problem on the #1 engine on an large transport. After a starting attempt, a fire was reported in the tail pipe by ground personnel, and subsequently by an air carrier B flight on the ramp. Ground personnel extinguished the fire with purple k-dry chemical fire bottle. At the same time, the remaining passenger on board were deplaned as a precaution. The tower called fire trucks who confirmed that the fire had been extinguished.

Title: AN ACR LGT HAD AN ENG FIRE ON THE GND. IT WAS SUCCESSFULLY EXTINGUISHED.

Narrative: FBO MAINT WAS BEING PERFORMED UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF ACR A LINE MAINT FOR AN ENG STARTING PROB ON THE #1 ENG ON AN LGT. AFTER A STARTING ATTEMPT, A FIRE WAS RPTED IN THE TAIL PIPE BY GND PERSONNEL, AND SUBSEQUENTLY BY AN ACR B FLT ON THE RAMP. GND PERSONNEL EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE WITH PURPLE K-DRY CHEMICAL FIRE BOTTLE. AT THE SAME TIME, THE REMAINING PAX ON BOARD WERE DEPLANED AS A PRECAUTION. THE TWR CALLED FIRE TRUCKS WHO CONFIRMED THAT THE FIRE HAD BEEN EXTINGUISHED.
