Narrative:

Preflight checklists and pushback from mco ramp. All normal. I observed pushback tug and second mechanic walking toward it beyond right wingtip and looked again to insure wingtip would clear tail of company aircraft parked at next gate. Single engine after start checklist normal, I called for taxi and extended takeoff flaps when clear. The captain verified taxiway R58 and normal taxi, second engine start and checklists were normal. Takeoff and after takeoff checklists were normal. Flight was routine en route, and throughout descent. Beginning approach to 36R at clt, I noticed a message from company (ACARS). Message from dispatcher advised that we had run over a tow-bar in mco at gate and might have damaged nose gear. We requested 36L, and crash fire rescue equipment standing by for our landing. All indications and landing were normal. A logbook entry was made including request to inspect aircraft. No FOD or markings of any kind were found by company maintenance and inspection personnel. Logbook entry was cleared.
