Narrative:

Near end of climb to 17500 I was told by controller that an mdt commuter had to initiate evasive action. I was climbing on an airway to 17500. I was squawking xoxz in contact with myrtle departure with flight following. I did see this aircraft pass below. I didn't feel it was unsafe. I was surprised I wasn't told about it but I didn't feel it was a problem until the next controller told me the other pilot was complaining.

Title: SMT PVT ACFT WAS INFORMED BY ATC DURING A VFR CLB THAT ANOTHER ACFT HAD TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION TO AVOID A COLLISION.

Narrative: NEAR END OF CLB TO 17500 I WAS TOLD BY CTLR THAT AN MDT COMMUTER HAD TO INITIATE EVASIVE ACTION. I WAS CLBING ON AN AIRWAY TO 17500. I WAS SURPRISED I WASN'T TOLD ABOUT IT BUT I DIDN'T FEEL IT WAS A PROBLEM UNTIL THE NEXT CTLR TOLD ME THE OTHER PLT WAS COMPLAINING.
