Narrative:
On VOR 02 approach to westfield/barnes airport, I broke out of the clouds at 1500 ft and continued descending to the airport when it was fully insight. I descended below the MDA (780 ft) because I did not use the VASI as my primary source of descent information. Bradley approach advised westfield tower of a low altitude alert when I descended below MDA.

Narrative: ON VOR 02 APCH TO WESTFIELD/BARNES ARPT, I BROKE OUT OF THE CLOUDS AT 1500 FT AND CONTINUED DSNDING TO THE ARPT WHEN IT WAS FULLY INSIGHT.
