At 31000 ft 90 mi east of modesto, received 'traffic' warning from TCASII, followed by climb command. Climbed to 32200 ft before warning ceased, and informed ATC immediately. No traffic was visually observed, TCASII showed 2 targets (red) in our present position at 31000 ft.
