Narrative:

Houston center clears our aircraft direct 'depoe' intersection, aircraft acknowledges 'depoe', short time later center states aircraft track in error for 'bevoe' intersection. (Both depoe and bevoe are in close proximity to one another; 26 to 30 NM northeast austin, tx). Aircraft reminds center that 'depoe' was acknowledged in earlier transmission. Center states that track is in error for 'depoe' as well. Aircraft then given heading to join radial aus 055 degree. After a quick turn in austin, a different houston center sector confirms aircraft RNAV equipment functions normally. Problem may have been avoided with the phonetic spelling of the intended intersection, as 'depoe' and 'bevoe' sound very similar and center issued bevoe. Our aircraft acknowledged depoe.
