Narrative:
In LNAV, navigation display at 320 range, autoplt dropped out of LNAV to heading hold, therefore missed the turn and continued straight ahead. Problems with bleed surge and range at 320, so we did not notice course deviation added to missing the turn. ATC called for a course correction less than 5 mi off course heading towards a restr area. ATC indicated no problem with the deviation.

Narrative: IN LNAV, NAV DISPLAY AT 320 RANGE, AUTOPLT DROPPED OUT OF LNAV TO HDG HOLD, THEREFORE MISSED THE TURN AND CONTINUED STRAIGHT AHEAD. PROBS WITH BLEED SURGE AND RANGE AT 320, SO WE DID NOT NOTICE COURSE DEV ADDED TO MISSING THE TURN. ATC CALLED FOR A COURSE CORRECTION LESS THAN 5 MI OFF COURSE HDG TOWARDS A RESTR AREA. ATC INDICATED NO PROB WITH THE DEV.
