Narrative:

On landing at dca on runway 36, tower directed us to exit runway at india. I increased brake pressure to override the autobrakes (level 2) and noticed taxiway india pass off the left. Not knowing why tower wanted us off the runway, the captain took control and exited on runway 33. The 'conflict' was landing on runway 33. Tower directed him to go around. The problem was tower directed us to exit the runway at an intersection unusable given our speed. If prepared for a potential conflict while on final, we could have either prepared a shorter stop or told him 'unable taxiway I'.
