Narrative:
On arrival into clt from ZZZ; we were flying the FILPZ3 arrival. We were south of valll at 5;000 feet; talking with charlotte approach. We thought that we saw a small bird near our altitude. As it passes to our left; slightly above us; we noted it was not a bird. It also didn't look like a balloon. It had small contours; and we decided it could be a drone. I reported it to approach control.
