Narrative:

I was cleared for visibility approach runway 1L. On a 3 mi final I passed opp direction traffic. He just departed runway 19R and was assigned runway heading. Saw him as he went by. Only 2 aircraft in the air and we are pointed towards each other. Controller then told me that there was no other traffic in the area.

Narrative: I WAS CLRED FOR VIS APCH RWY 1L. ON A 3 MI FINAL I PASSED OPP DIRECTION TFC. HE JUST DEPARTED RWY 19R AND WAS ASSIGNED RWY HDG. SAW HIM AS HE WENT BY. ONLY 2 ACFT IN THE AIR AND WE ARE POINTED TOWARDS EACH OTHER. CTLR THEN TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS NO OTHER TFC IN THE AREA.
