Narrative:

While taxiing for departure at psg, I called FSS rco and informed them of intentions 12 departure runway, 04 degree left turn. Response was, 'roger.' upon turning on runway, which had a hump, found atx Y flying over me on takeoff runway 22. Still later at wrangell, same FSS called back-taxi runway 9. Response was, 'roger.' while back-taxiing in progress, had to pull off in gravel to avoid mdt landing. He said, 'thanks;' that was second time that day for him. Again departing psg for wrangell, approximately XXXX, I called departing runway 4. FSS reported small aircraft sockeye point for airport. I announced my departure again and noticed opp landing traffic. Pulled back from runway for landing small aircraft. No warning by pilot of landing aircraft, although he was landing with sun behind him. I fault both--FSS for not getting more specific intentions form pilot, and pilot for not stating specific intentions. By the way, no landing lights on either the departing atx X or the landing small aircraft. These remoted FSS controled airports are looking for a traffic collision. I shudder to think of what will happen when ketchikan is remoted to juneau. Ak air taxi pilots must realize they are not alone in the sky.
