Narrative:
At approximately XX29 local an medium large transport checked in with eyw tower over the eyw VOR. The eyw VOR is well inside the eyw air traffic area. This late turn over was not coordinated. No other aircraft were involved. I asked the pilot when nqx switched him to eyw. The pilot said just prior to calling the eyw tower.

Narrative: AT APPROX XX29 LCL AN MLG CHKED IN WITH EYW TWR OVER THE EYW VOR. THE EYW VOR IS WELL INSIDE THE EYW ATA. THIS LATE TURN OVER WAS NOT COORDINATED. NO OTHER ACFT WERE INVOLVED. I ASKED THE PLT WHEN NQX SWITCHED HIM TO EYW. THE PLT SAID JUST PRIOR TO CALLING THE EYW TWR.
