Narrative:

On a return trip from burbank to texas, I stopped at abq for food and fuel. There were many runway and taxiway closures due to construction at the airport. From the GA area, after refueling, I was cleared to taxi to runway 08 via runway 30 which was closed. Runway 30 had black paint covering all of the normal runway markings. Because it was evening with a clear sky, I had the sun in my face as I taxied west on runway 30. As I approached runway 08, I saw out the side of my cockpit a yellow hold line go past as I taxied across it. I immediately made a sharp left 180 degree turn (away from runway 08) and got back behind the hold line to do my run up. I wondered how I missed it, as I had been taxiing slowly and looking for markings. When I got back behind the line, it became apparent that you could not see the yellow at all until you were past it, because the yellow was painted on top of a thick black paint line that spanned the runway. With the sun, all that could be seen was glare, and nothing else. There was no close call, and ground control did not say anything about my actions. I believe it might have been possible to distinguish the yellow if it had been on the pavement, and not on top of a wide black line, but I can't be sure.

Title: PLT DEV TAXIED ON TO ACTIVE RWY DUE TO POOR HOLD MARKING IN CONSTRUCTION AREA.

Narrative: ON A RETURN TRIP FROM BURBANK TO TEXAS, I STOPPED AT ABQ FOR FOOD AND FUEL. THERE WERE MANY RWY AND TXWY CLOSURES DUE TO CONSTRUCTION AT THE ARPT. FROM THE GA AREA, AFTER REFUELING, I WAS CLRED TO TAXI TO RWY 08 VIA RWY 30 WHICH WAS CLOSED. RWY 30 HAD BLACK PAINT COVERING ALL OF THE NORMAL RWY MARKINGS. BECAUSE IT WAS EVENING WITH A CLR SKY, I HAD THE SUN IN MY FACE AS I TAXIED W ON RWY 30. AS I APCHED RWY 08, I SAW OUT THE SIDE OF MY COCKPIT A YELLOW HOLD LINE GO PAST AS I TAXIED ACROSS IT. I IMMEDIATELY MADE A SHARP L 180 DEG TURN (AWAY FROM RWY 08) AND GOT BACK BEHIND THE HOLD LINE TO DO MY RUN UP. I WONDERED HOW I MISSED IT, AS I HAD BEEN TAXIING SLOWLY AND LOOKING FOR MARKINGS. WHEN I GOT BACK BEHIND THE LINE, IT BECAME APPARENT THAT YOU COULD NOT SEE THE YELLOW AT ALL UNTIL YOU WERE PAST IT, BECAUSE THE YELLOW WAS PAINTED ON TOP OF A THICK BLACK PAINT LINE THAT SPANNED THE RWY. WITH THE SUN, ALL THAT COULD BE SEEN WAS GLARE, AND NOTHING ELSE. THERE WAS NO CLOSE CALL, AND GND CTL DID NOT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MY ACTIONS. I BELIEVE IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE TO DISTINGUISH THE YELLOW IF IT HAD BEEN ON THE PAVEMENT, AND NOT ON TOP OF A WIDE BLACK LINE, BUT I CAN'T BE SURE.
