Narrative:
During arrival into atl we were descending thru approximately 10000 ft when we encountered wake turbulence. Over an approximate 5 minute period the wake induced three separate 15-20 [degree] right rolls. The rate of roll was slightly aggressive. ATC advised that the aircraft we were following was a boeing 717 that was 2000 ft below us and 6 miles ahead.wake turbulence encounter that induced several undesired right rolls.

Title: CRJ-200 First Officer reported encountering wake turbulence on arrival into ATL 6 miles in trail of a B717.
