Narrative:

During takeoff on runway 9L in VFR WX, we were the 3RD air carrier in a row. We were cleared for takeoff, turn left to 070 degree out of 1000'. During takeoff roll we observed a light twin on 9R which had started his takeoff roll a few seconds before us. He broke ground and started crowding toward 9L. He then began a shallow left turn across our flight path. At about 2 O'clock position, the first officer kept him in sight until he crossed above us. I stayed at approximately 200 AGL straight out until I saw him come into view on my left about 9 O'clock and approximately 200' above me, then continued climbing out, as instructed.
