Narrative:

While working the hi sector at indianapolis center (9 aircraft on frequency, 3 climbing, 2 descending, 4 radar vectors, 21 data blocks on scope), air carrier X called at FL370. Shortly after he declared a medical emergency and requested clearance to the greater cincinnati airport. This was accomplished and a descent clearance given to FL240. Out of FL355, air carrier X stated the individual had stabilized and wanted to go on to clt. A clearance was issued to clt at FL350 due to traffic at FL330 and FL370. Air carrier Y was nwbnd at FL350 and was overlooked as traffic for air carrier X. A 50 degree left turn was issued to air carrier Y and a 90 degree heading was issued to air carrier X along with an 'expedite descent' clearance to FL330. Air carrier X was still requesting medical assistance at clt. The 2 aircraft passed with 2.9 mi and 1000'. Traffic was called, air carrier X again requested a clearance to cvg and medical assistance on the ground. The heart attack victim was reviewed on the ground by medical personnel.
