Narrative:
On departure out of macon, GA, I was instructed to climb to 9000'. I climbed to 9800'. I was flying from the right seat and my copilot was coordinating with the nurse, in the back, who was attending to a burn patient. I was not current in the right seat and the door should have been closed on climb out till we were in cruise flight. I was distracted and the flight was late night, my body was not in a most alert status.
