Narrative:
On the takeoff climb from teterboro on the RUUDY2 SID I ballooned above the 1;500 ft altitude restriction at wentz. I thought I was passed wentz and could continue climb up to 2;000 ft. At about 1;550 ft I realized I had two NM to go until wentz so I stopped the climb and returned to 1;500 ft. I ballooned over 1;500 ft by no more than 200 ft and was over 1;500 ft for no more than twenty seconds. As I was stopping the climb ATC stated that we seemed a bit high and wentz was at 1;500 ft. We acknowledged ATC that we understood that wentz was a 1;500 ft crossing. I quickly corrected the altitude and reported crossing wentz at 1;500 ft.
