Narrative:

Proceeding south on A315 to zin (great inagua) I was on a heading of 120 degrees, climbing to cruise altitude. There were thunderstorms in the area and I had advised ATC I would need to deviate from A315 to avoid some circuit breaker's. I was cleared to deviate as necessary. My attention was outside the cockpit and I missed an ATC clearance to turn to a heading of 100 degrees 'for traffic.' there may have been a loss of sep with another aircraft. My first officer indicated he had heard the clearance but did not bring it to my attention.
