Narrative:

We lost a C208's transponder and the track went into coast. I switched to ebus and there was a primary target being displayed. The NAS has no primary target because the vrb radar primary feed does not come into the building. This creates a hazard when two aircraft are in close proximity to each other because we have to switch from NAS to ebus (enhanced back up surveillance) to see the primary target. In the vrb (vessel radar beacon)terminal sector; we can use three mile separation in NAS but can not use it in ebus. I recommend that we have the primary feed from the vrb radar displayed in both NAS and ebus.
