At the approach end of runway 28 at ord on taxiway M7; the red runway identifiers that are painted on the ground short of the hold line are so worn that they are hard to see. With contaminates on the ground; pilots may not observe this critical marking on one of ord's busiest runways.

Title: An Air Carrier Captain reported that the Runway 28 Red Identifier numbers painted at the M7 ground hold short line are worn and hard to see.
Narrative: At the approach end of Runway 28 at ORD on Taxiway M7; the Red runway identifiers that are painted on the ground short of the hold line are so worn that they are hard to see. With contaminates on the ground; pilots may not observe this critical marking on one of ORD's busiest runways.
