Narrative:

Shortly after takeoff we received a red ECAM message land as soon as possible. At about 2000 ft the ECAM actions came up for 'avionics smoke'. I was the flying pilot and took over the radios as the captain went through the QRH and ECAM procedures. There was no sign of any smoke in the cockpit. We decided to declare an emergency and return with a precautionary landing. The equipment was standing by to take a look at the nose of the a/C. With nothing observed; we returned to the gate. After we got to the gate; maintenance told us it was a warning computer problem.
