Narrative:

I was on standby status when scheduling called to assign me a trip. The assignment started on the day C of mar and returned the day J of mar, deadheading on both ends. I refused the trip stating there was no 24 hour rest period in 7 days of duty. Scheduling insisted that they have a waiver and were using an hourly schedule. After consulting with alpa legal counsel, I have been informed that the trip was in violation and I am filing this NASA report as a result.
