Narrative:

Climbing out of 6000 MSL to 16;000 MSL received yellow system low pressure light and chimes. Requested to level at 10;000 MSL but center advised to continue to climb 16;000 MSL. Declared emergency and request to hold over an intersection but was given direct VOR to clear departure area. All ECAM actions were performed and we proceeded back to our departure airport. There was some reported wind shear activity in the area and runway 27 was requested for the approach. Aircraft overweight by 8000 pounds. Made the overweight landing and used the entire runway to a safe stop. Air fire rescue inspected the aircraft for leaks and damage and we continued to the ramp.
