Narrative:

Flight sent ACARS asking if I have a NOTAM stating a different routing over iraq for northbound traffic. I looked in our company flight operations computer system (unimatic) NOTAM grids for an orbb baghdad fir NOTAM to no avail. I proceeded to look in the DOD NOTAM (dins) website where I found the NOTAM A0924/09 effective when issued. It was a northbound preferred routing through iraq until further notice. I brought this NOTAM to the attention of our NOTAM desk that should have been in our unimatic system. There should be no room for error going through iraq's potentially dangerous airspace. The manual process of unimatic enroute NOTAM system has been proven many times unreliable and convoluted.
