Narrative:

Aircraft Y was in level flight at FL370 to ord. Aircraft X was climbing. I meant to assign aircraft X their requested altitude FL360; but instead assigned FL370. When aircraft X climbed through FL360; aircraft Y advised they were responding to a TCAS RA. I questioned aircraft X on their altitude and issued a descent to both aircraft when they were clear of each other. I have no recommendation on ways to avoid this situation and no idea what caused this mistake. I was working alone at the time and there were no distrs in my area.
