Narrative:

Departing from teb using the TEB5 departure runway 24: reviewed the departure two times then had 18 aircraft depart before us (40 min taxi). On takeoff I climbed to 1500 ft then made a right turn to 280 degrees then climbed to 2000 ft. The departure calls for climb runway heading to 1500 ft right turn to 280 degrees until passing teb 4.5 DME; then climb and maintain 2000 ft. We had 2000 ft set in altitude select.
