Narrative:
During climb out; the left hydraulic system low pressure light illuminated with associated EICAS display message. During the discussion; we failed to reset the altimeters through FL180. After leveloff; ATC said our altitude was off by 400 ft. We reset the altimeters.

Title: A B767 FLIGHT CREW FAILED TO SET STANDARD ALTIMETER CLIMBING OUT OF 18000 FT WHEN THEY WERE DISTRACTED BY A HYDRAULIC PROBLEM.
Narrative: DURING CLBOUT; THE L HYD SYSTEM LOW PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED WITH ASSOCIATED EICAS DISPLAY MESSAGE. DURING THE DISCUSSION; WE FAILED TO RESET THE ALTIMETERS THROUGH FL180. AFTER LEVELOFF; ATC SAID OUR ALT WAS OFF BY 400 FT. WE RESET THE ALTIMETERS.
