Narrative:
We had an air quality event on flight to ZZZ that turned into a divert to ZZZ1. The return was initiated to ZZZ2 but the situation worsened as 2 flight attendants went on oxygen. The first officer and I decided to divert to ZZZ1; donned masks; ran QRH; declared emergency; and squawked 7700. All the crew went to the hospital for toxicology testing.
