Narrative:

On takeoff roll from new runway 29 threshold at 80-100 KTS; raas gave a very loud 'on taxiway; on taxiway' warning. We verified that we were in fact on runway 29 and continued takeoff roll. Management must provide clear guidance for what to do when receiving raas warnings for possible hazard (as for windshear or ground proximity). Better yet; remove raas from all aircraft until false warnings are eliminated. In absence of such guidance; best option may be to abort takeoff roll for unanticipated 'on taxiway' warnings during takeoff.

Title: B737-400 FLT CREW RECEIVES FALSE RAAS 'ON TXWY' WARNING ON TKOF ROLL. OPT TO CONTINUE TKOF.

Narrative: ON TKOF ROLL FROM NEW RWY 29 THRESHOLD AT 80-100 KTS; RAAS GAVE A VERY LOUD 'ON TXWY; ON TXWY' WARNING. WE VERIFIED THAT WE WERE IN FACT ON RWY 29 AND CONTINUED TKOF ROLL. MGMNT MUST PROVIDE CLEAR GUIDANCE FOR WHAT TO DO WHEN RECEIVING RAAS WARNINGS FOR POSSIBLE HAZARD (AS FOR WINDSHEAR OR GND PROX). BETTER YET; REMOVE RAAS FROM ALL ACFT UNTIL FALSE WARNINGS ARE ELIMINATED. IN ABSENCE OF SUCH GUIDANCE; BEST OPTION MAY BE TO ABORT TKOF ROLL FOR UNANTICIPATED 'ON TXWY' WARNINGS DURING TKOF.
