Narrative:

During hmv 4 inspections of the fuel tank; paper towels were discovered around left aft fuel tank scavenge ejector pump. Removed paper towels and informed supervisor. Also inspected fuel tank for any additional FOD. Additional FOD was found and removed. Any time when a fuel cell is opened; it should be rii'ed and found to be FOD free before closing.

Title: A LEAD MECHANIC REPORTS PAPER TOWELS AND ADDITIONAL FOD WERE DISCOVERED AROUND THE LEFT AFT FUEL TANK SCAVENGE EJECTOR PUMP OF A CL-600 (CRJ-200); DURING A HEAVY MAINT VISIT INSPECTION.
