Narrative:

ATC issued clearance to descend via riivr arrival (STAR) changed runway from runway 25L to runway 24R (lax). We crossed assigned fix 700 ft high. Required to cross at 9800 ft to 9000 ft and we crossed at 10500 ft. Also aircraft accelerated to 265 KTS below 10000 ft. Adjusted aircraft speed and flight path. All other restrs were met and complied with. FMC was not able to keep up with changes and restrs; especially with runway change. Took over from autoflt to manual to comply but still crossed 700 ft high and fast below 10000 ft. I should have been ahead of autoflt and taken over in manual flight sooner.
