Narrative:
I was controling both aircraft and thought I had them separated by 1000 ft. After reviewing the tapes; it was determined that both aircraft were issued the same altitude.

Title: SCT CTLR EXPERIENCED OPERROR AT 10000 FT WHEN FAILING TO REALIZE THAT TWO CONFLICTING ACFT WERE ASSIGNED THE SAME ALT.
Narrative: I WAS CTLING BOTH ACFT AND THOUGHT I HAD THEM SEPARATED BY 1000 FT. AFTER REVIEWING THE TAPES; IT WAS DETERMINED THAT BOTH ACFT WERE ISSUED THE SAME ALT.
