Narrative:
Approaching liski intersection (magadan fir); unable to contact magadan on assigned VHF. Attempted contact on other VHF and HF with no joy. Also unable to log on to cpdlc. Contacted other aircraft on guard. Only several xmissions were made prior to losing contact (on guard) with no clearance received. Adhering to airway manual procedure for no communication prior to entering russian airspace; commenced a r-hand turn at liski while contacting anchorage to advise them of no communication. Turning back towards liski cpdlc log on was achieved and 2 messages were sent to magadan for clearance. Several mins later cpdlc clearance was received. Approximately 5 mins after passing liski; VHF contact was achieved with magadan. Flight continued normally.

Narrative: APCHING LISKI INTXN (MAGADAN FIR); UNABLE TO CONTACT MAGADAN ON ASSIGNED VHF. ATTEMPTED CONTACT ON OTHER VHF AND HF WITH NO JOY. ALSO UNABLE TO LOG ON TO CPDLC. CONTACTED OTHER ACFT ON GUARD. ONLY SEVERAL XMISSIONS WERE MADE PRIOR TO LOSING CONTACT (ON GUARD) WITH NO CLRNC RECEIVED. ADHERING TO AIRWAY MANUAL PROC FOR NO COM PRIOR TO ENTERING RUSSIAN AIRSPACE; COMMENCED A R-HAND TURN AT LISKI WHILE CONTACTING ANCHORAGE TO ADVISE THEM OF NO COM. TURNING BACK TOWARDS LISKI CPDLC LOG ON WAS ACHIEVED AND 2 MESSAGES WERE SENT TO MAGADAN FOR CLRNC. SEVERAL MINS LATER CPDLC CLRNC WAS RECEIVED. APPROX 5 MINS AFTER PASSING LISKI; VHF CONTACT WAS ACHIEVED WITH MAGADAN. FLT CONTINUED NORMALLY.
